We love Hong Kong !!
Sifu & Simo travelled to Hong Kong for this anniversary gathering of the Jow Biu lineage. As always, it was wonderful to be amongst our extended kung fu family in celebration of our kung fu father, to share food and our kung fu. Our Grandmaster Chan Man Cheung is ever an inspiration.
Special thanks to Ho Wai Ip and the Ho brothers for a wonderful gathering. Thanks also to Sifus Ho Kim Hung and Ho Hing Chung and all their students, including Jeff Welch, for time spent in the kwoon, sharing kung fu and talking.

We brought in the year of the rat with a series of Kung Fu Demos and Lion Dances for good fortune.
Performances were given in in the CBD, North and Western Sydney. The Jow Ga Lion Dance Troupe travelled
to Canberra to perform the inaugural lion dance for the National Multi-Cultural Festival and Chinese New Year.
Around 50 Jow Ga members and lion dancers marched through the CBD, Chinatown, and on to Darling Harbour in the
fabulous Sydney City Chinese New Year parade. See our Gallery for CNY 2008 slideshow.

Sifu's disciple John Callaghan made his first trip to the Chau Biu (Jow Biu) Headquarters in Hong Kong. John was
thrilled to be received by Sifus Ho Kim Hung and Ho Hing Chung, to watch students there practice and to
perform his own kung fu for them. John also visited southern China.
